If you wish to apply for any of the music programs at UPEI, the following four items must be submitted to the Music Department before an audition will be booked:

1. a completed UPEI Undergraduate Application Form
2. a completed Department of Music Audition Application (PDF document)
3. a completed Applicant Recommendation Form (PDF document), submitted by your music teacher (or someone else who is qualified to assess your musical abilities).
4. an application fee: $50 for Canadian students / $75 for international students (payable to UPEI)

Note: Viewing and printing of PDF documents requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is a free download from Adobe).

The UPEI Undergraduate Admissions Form and the application fee will be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office upon receipt. Official transcripts from any high school, college, or university attended must be mailed directly from your institution to the Registrar’s Office. The recommended deadline for application is February 1. All documentation must be complete by August 15 (February 15 for scholarship candidates.) See Important Dates for more details.

Students are welcome to include a resumé with their application package, if they desire.

Applications will be acknowledged upon receipt, and the audition day confirmed. The scehdule for the various components of the Audition Procedures will be forwarded approximately two weeks in advance of the actual audition date. Be sure that you are familiar with the audition requirements and procedures, and that you are prepared to write the theory and aural skills assessments.

NOTE: Applicants for the B.A. (Music) Program are not required to perform an audition unless they wish to take Applied Music as an elective.
