Each year the Scholarship Committee awards numerous University Entrance and Full Tuition (4-year) Scholarships to those attaining high academic standing in high school. PEI students must apply for such scholarships through the Registrar's Office by the end of February. Out-of-province students are automatically considered for these scholarships, and no separate application process is necessary. However, students from outside of the Province should apply for admission to UPEI before the end of February.
Applicants who achieve sufficiently high standing in their performance audition and theory and ear tests are eligible for numerous music scholarships (ranging in value from $200 to $10,000) which are awarded by the Scholarship Committee on the recommendation of the Music Department. Over $25,000 in scholarships may be awarded annually. Music Scholarships will normally be awarded on the basis of auditions performed on the March and April Audition Days only (see Important Dates). Numerous in-course music awards ranging in value up to $1,500 are available to students proceeding to their second, third, fourth and fifth year of study.
